Cooking enthusiasts, get set: chef Stephen La Rosa has launched a new online course to help level-up your culinary skills and impress your friends with the techniques and flavour combinations of a professional chef.

Now available on online learning platform Skillshare, the Cook Perfect Pasta & Master Italian Sauces course is easy to follow from any home kitchen, as Chef La Rosa lets you in on how to source, cook and sauce pasta dishes that taste and look like they came out of a restaurant – using equipment and seasonal ingredients you recognise and can find easily.

Through the course, Chef La Rosa will help you master the essential details that make up the perfect plate of pasta, including how to cook five classic Italian pasta sauces, how to choose the right pasta for the job, how much salt to add and what tools to use for best results. Having debunked pasta myths, he will also give his personal feedback and advice to your signature pasta creations at home.

“If you have a real love for food and cooking, I can’t wait to help you level-up your cooking skills and make incredible home-cooked meals for your family and friends – and you will love the results too,” he says. “Through the Skillshare course, I’ll talk you through a few fundamental culinary principles and chef-level techniques from my own home kitchen, which will help boost both your confidence and your skills in yours, ready to create some real ‘wow!’ moments.”

Stephen La Rosa is a chef with a difference, who knows the secret tips to make home-cooking amazing through training at some of the world’s best restaurants. His impressive culinary career includes an Honours Degree from the Culinary Institute of America, after which he was snapped up by top Michelin-starred dining establishments such as Per Se in New York, Quince in San Francisco and Hélène Darroze at The Connaught in London.
