MADC’s hotly anticipated production of The Full Monty opens tonight at Teatru Manoel, kicking off performances until Sunday 2 November of the live stage adaptation of one of Britain’s most iconic comedy films.

Directed by Francesca Briffa, Simon Beaufoy’s stage version brings all the cheek, heart and humour of his BAFTA-winning original film to Malta. The story follows six unemployed steelworkers from Sheffield who shed their clothes to make ends meet – discovering courage, friendship and a fair bit of mischief along the way.

The Full Monty features a star-studded cast including Alan Paris, Stephen Oliver, Brendon Thearle, Lewis Preston, Shaun Rizzo and Taha Chaudhry, alongside Pia Zammit, Coryse Borg, Steve Casaletto, Angelica Sant, Sarah Jane Zrinzo, Antonio Tufigno, Keira Galea, Richard Godden, Alan Azzopardi and Matthew Grech Marguerat, while Charlie Paris and Simon Tufigno share the role of ‘Nathan’.

Behind the scenes, creative team Romualdo Moretti, Nicole Cuschieri, Chris Gatt, Stephen Oliver and Sarah Jane Zrinzo also help bring the much-loved story to life for audiences in Malta.
