Marking the MADC’s first pantomime to be held at Teatru Manoel since 2007, Beauty and the Beast (performed in English) continues this long-running theatre company’s tradition of pantos full of timeless songs, laughter, breathtaking scenery and costumes.  Performances run from 22 December 2023 to 7 January 2024.

Written and directed by Chiara Hyzler, the fairytale follows the beautiful Belle and her delightful Nanny as they set out to find Belle’s missing father.

Hannah Spiteri leads the cast as Belle, while her larger-than-life Nanny is played by renowned panto veteran and Malta’s favourite dame, Alan Montanaro. Joining them through their magical adventure are other top performers including Jasmine Farrugia, Francesco Nicodeme, Maria Buckle and Rambert Attard, among a vast ensemble of stage talent.

The show’s creative team is likewise a who’s-who of some of Malta’s finest theatre practitioners. Alongside Hyzler, Beauty and the Beast features musical director Kris Spiteri, choreographer Francesco Nicodeme, set designer Matthew Cassar, costume designer Denise Mulholland and vocal coach Analise Cassar.

Plus, a tempting New Year offer also makes Beauty and the Beast tickets an ideal Christmas gift. Enjoy a 10% discount on all tickets to performances on Wednesday 3 and Thursday 4 January – but book today to avoid disappointment!
