The course provides recruits with an immersive induction into the local real estate industry.

RE/MAX Malta recently announced the launch of its new, expertly-designed 15-day training course also known as the RE/MAX Accelerator programme. This new move perfectly aligns with the company’s motto to ‘Be in business by yourself but not on your own’ and underlines its determination to empower all of its team members.

Announcing the exciting launch, RE/MAX Malta COO Jeff Buttigieg said: “In a digital world, where service is delivered at such fast pace, we have a responsibility to the community to reassess our own service from time to time. This gives us the reason, impetus and drive to adjust things accordingly, and to enable our associates and staff to provide the highest level of service to the Maltese public.”

Working directly with RE/MAX Malta’s three other established academies, this fully-immersive training course collectively combines several years of expert knowledge and experience to ensue that new sales associates begin their career on the right foot. The course, which is designed around 15 interactive and practical half days, is based on recent research that RE/MAX Malta commissioned to give it a better understanding of customer expectations. That research highlighted that clients wanted to work with associates that are more professional, care about their needs, and are knowledgeable about the market.

To help associates acquire this knowledge, course modules are split into sections that cover technical skills and soft skills, and which highlight topics that cover how to set up a new business as a self employed person, how to use digital tools effectively, how to understand local taxes and foreign buyers, the fundamentals of previewing /viewing properties, staging and photography, how to be a listing guru, details on the planning authority, how to make good inspections, the RE/MAX policies and ethics, how to develop the right mindset, the art of communication, marketing and self image, how to create memorable experiences, and finally, how to understand and exceed consumer expectations.

RE/MAX Malta announced that the 15-day course will be delivered every month and explained that all new agents will be in a position to enroll on it at the beginning of any week, thus ensuring they do not have to wait long at all to get started on their new career path.

“RE/MAX only provides the highest standard of training and is very conscientious when it comes to providing continuity and on-going mentorship, as well as support, to our sales associates,” Mr Buttigieg continued. “We believe it to be the foundation of our success.”

Since launching the course two months ago, RE/MAX Malta has already enrolled a combined 40 new agents. Beyond that, even some of the company’s most experienced agents have chosen to sign up to some of the modules, also underlining just how easy this ‘hop on’ ‘hop off’ training approach is to use. “The course is designed to enable our experienced team members to sign up to a refresher, and we have been impressed by how many of them have chosen to spend time in the classroom brushing up on existing skills and learning new ones too.”

Mr Buttigieg also confirmed that the new courses do not replace any existing RE/MAX training schemes that are already being delivered through the company’s head office. “This new course is very much in addition to anything available,” he says. “We are proud of our already-strong curriculum that is already available to our agents, but have invested to make our training even more cohesive, with new trainers and new material to cover any gaps in our education programme. We have no doubt that the results will speak for themselves.”
